  3. 4.4. Synchronizing To External Clock

  5. To synchronize with an external sequencer connected to the MIDI in port,
  6. check the item "External clock" in the "MIDI port setup" dialog and
  7. configure on the externally connected sequencer to output MIDI clocks. In
  8. this case, MIDIGraphy will control record/playback speed synchronizing to
  9. MIDI clock messages incoming from the MIDI in port. Since MIDI clock will
  10. not be interpolated, the time resolution for recording/playback will be
  11. restricted to 24 clocks per beat.
  12. MIDIGraphy also recognizes realtime messages: start, stop and continue. If
  13. playback process is in pause, a start or continue message causes release of
  14. pausing, and if playback process is running, stop message causes playback to
  15. pause.
  16. Functions of the forward button, the rewind button and the slidac controller
  17. are not available while synchronizing to external MIDI clocks.
