- 4. Recording and Playing
-
- 4.4. Synchronizing To External Clock
-
- To synchronize with an external sequencer connected to the MIDI in port,
- check the item "External clock" in the "MIDI port setup" dialog and
- configure on the externally connected sequencer to output MIDI clocks. In
- this case, MIDIGraphy will control record/playback speed synchronizing to
- MIDI clock messages incoming from the MIDI in port. Since MIDI clock will
- not be interpolated, the time resolution for recording/playback will be
- restricted to 24 clocks per beat.
- MIDIGraphy also recognizes realtime messages: start, stop and continue. If
- playback process is in pause, a start or continue message causes release of
- pausing, and if playback process is running, stop message causes playback to
- pause.
- Functions of the forward button, the rewind button and the slidac controller
- are not available while synchronizing to external MIDI clocks.
